Emergency Services

Protecting your property at the onset of a disaster will pay big dividends when the time comes to rebuild. Our Emergency Response Team is on call 24/7 to provide critical services to both residential and commercial property owners. From basic board-up, security fencing, or weatherization, to more complex procedures, such as structure stabilization, partial building isolation, or handling of contaminated building materials, we get the job done.

For decades we’ve helped property owners, insurance companies, law enforcement agencies, and fire districts with qualified and comprehensive emergency response services.

Damage/Loss Evaluation

One of the most important but often overlooked aspects of the reconstruction process is the need to accurately assess the damage. We will carefully and thoroughly define the scope and cost of your reconstruction project. This accurate assessment gives you reassurance, helps your insurance company process your claim, and gives us the template to rebuild your property.

We believe the damage appraisal process starts with the property owner. After all, who knows the property better? Through a preliminary site inspection with you, we can gather information that may otherwise be overlooked, and enables us to communicate better with the insurance company. It also helps you to understand what to expect during the estimating, claims and reconstruction process.

It is not uncommon for insurance carriers (and some contractors, for that matter) to be satisfied with overly general construction specifications. Repair items left “open” (for definition later), or necessary construction details completely omitted are common practice. We have a different approach. We take the time to make sure our loss evaluation is right from the start and our customer understands our scope of repairs. We’ll submit our scope and cost to your insurance carrier in a format that enables them to settle your claim quickly (Xactimate). And we’ll invest the time and energy to verify our specifications and your claim with your insurance company.

Your Insurance Claim

Navigating the choppy waters of a property loss claim can range from very difficult to seemingly impossible. We’re here to help. From the initial emergency services through job completion documentation we will work directly with your carrier every step of the way. We’ll:

  • contact and meet with your adjuster to establish all construction criteria
  • organize, submit and secure approvals for all aspects of you property claim
  • submit any code compliance or code upgrades required
  • submit any supplemental repair change orders for hidden or unforeseen damage to your carrier

Working with the Mortgage Holder

When a mortgage is held by a bank or lending institution, funds for reconstruction are typically held and released by the mortgage holder. The lender will generally require insurance claims data, scheduled inspections, construction stage payments, lien releases, and percentages of completion documentation. We’re accustomed to these procedures, and we’ll be happy to coordinate the mortgage company’s demands on your behalf.
